Collection of Personal Information
As a visitor to this Site, you can engage in many activities without providing any Personal Information. In connection with other activities, such as subscribing to the services offered on the Site or utilizing online software applications, the Company may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, the Company may ask that you provide us Personal Information, such as your first and last name, mailing address (including postal code), e-mail address, company, telephone, and other Personal Information. When ordering products or services on the Site, you may be asked to provide a credit card number. Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.
When you submit Personal Information to the Company through this Site, you understand and agree that this information may be transferred across national boundaries and may be stored and processed in any of the countries in which the Company and its affiliates and subsidiaries maintain offices, including, without limitation, the United States. You also acknowledge that in certain countries or with respect to certain activities, the collection, transferring, storage, and processing of your information may be undertaken by trusted vendors of the Company. Such vendors are bound by contract not to use your Personal Information for their own purposes or provide it to any third parties. One instance where this may occur is in conjunction with use of an email delivery service to notify you of various activities related to your account such as making purchases, requesting a password reset token, etc.
Some of our services can be used anonymously. Others will require certain personal information. We do all in our power to keep your information safe.
How your Personal Information is used
The Company collects your information in order to record and support your participation in the activities you select. If you subscribe to a service or register for a product, for example, the information is used to register your rights, if any, to technical support or other benefits that may be made available to registered users. Your Personal Information is used, but not limited to, keeping you informed about product updates other account-related activities as described previously.
The Company may collect information about your use of the Site and which pages you visited and for how long. This information is collected in aggregate form, without identifying any user individually. The Company may use this aggregate, non-identifying statistical data for statistical analysis, marketing, or similar promotional purposes.
In addition, the Company may also use any communications sent for the purpose of showing Testimonials. You have the right to request that your information not be used in a Testimonial. Such requests must be made in writing and sent to the Company in written form via e-mail or letter.
The Company offers their services to nonprofit organizations at no charge. In return, these organizations understand that The Company may, at its discretion, use the organization name and/or logo in text or speech as a representation of organizations that we service.
We only ask for personal information that helps us provide the service you need. We keep track of how many visitors we have each day, but we don't single out any individuals. If you're lucky, we'll use your company in one of our case study pages. If you don't want us to, just say the word.
Data collection and storage
In order to use the services from the Company, you may be required to upload data to the Company's secure server and/or otherwise transmit data to the Company. The Company recognizes that the data submitted for processing remains the property of the submitting user or the user's company or organization. You agree that the Company will take reasonable measures to ensure that this data remains secure. The Company will not sell, give, or otherwise distribute any data submitted by you to any third party. The Company may use or process the data provided only to provide you with the services requested or to evaluate the quality of the services requested.
The Company may store the data submitted for processing to be used for future processing at your request and for reference and quality control in the event that there is a problem with the services provided. The length of time that the data is stored by the Company is dependent on the services you subscribe to. This length of time is specified under the terms for the product or service in the section titled "Your use of the software and content" of the Terms of Service document. You may remove your data from the Company's secure server at any time by clicking the delete link in your account specific to the data in question. The Company agrees to immediately begin an automated process to purge any data from its secure servers. In the event of an unforeseen technical problem, the Company agrees to purge your data from its secure servers within seven (7) days from the time of this request.
You acknowledge that the Company may log address information submitted for the sole purpose of improving our matching algorithms. Address Information is defined as no information beyond Street Address/City/State/ZIP. The Company acknowledges your right to suppress this logging.
The data that you upload for processing belongs to you. Period. We'll keep it safe for you. If you use our list service, we'll retain your files up to 90 days. You can have it deleted before that if you ask.
We log street addresses to improve our service to you. No personal information is gathered with that address. If this bothers you, you can turn it off.
Our data centers are located in a highly secure facility guarded 24 hours a day. The movement of all authorized visitors is logged and your data is located in a locked area within the secure facility. Our data center machines communicate with each other using a private network behind a firewall that prevents any unauthorized access to our machines. Any credit card information stored for the purpose of automated, renewal billing is stored in encrypted form, while any password information is stored with a one-way encryption cipher known as a "hash".
Everything's locked down and we've swallowed the key.
Your choices with respect to Personal Information
There are other instances in which the Company may divulge your Personal Information. The Company may provide your Personal Information, if necessary, in the Company's good faith judgment, to comply with laws or regulations of a governmental or regulatory body or in response to a valid subpoena, warrant, or in order to protect the rights of the Company or others.
We won't spam you and we won't share your information (unless the cops are involved for some reason).
Protection of your Personal Information
The Personal Information that you provide in connection with registering yourself as a user and/or utilizing the Company products or services is protected in several ways.
Your Personal Information resides on a secure server. The Company strives to prevent unauthorized parties from viewing such information when it is transmitted to the Company.
Access (by you) to your Personal Information is only possible with a password and login identifier selected by you. This password is encrypted as described previously. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone even personnel of the Company.
Access (by authorized Company personnel and Company contractors) is only possible with valid authentication.
We use a secure password and keep it safe. You should do that, too.
When you visit this Site, you can browse the Site and access important information without revealing your identity. In order to improve our Site, we use "cookies" to track your visit. A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by our web servers and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It functions as one identifying mechanism to enable The Company to record your passwords, purchases, and preferences. It cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses.
Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. (For some Web pages that require an authorization, cookies are not optional. Users choosing not to accept cookies will not be able to access those pages.)
Cookies are good. You should give them a try.
Confidentiality of Proprietary Information
In the course of discussion (phone, email, text, fax, mail, or other type) confidential data and business practices are likely to be shared with the Company. This proprietary information will, at all times, be maintained as proprietary and not shared or divulged with any other entity except with specific prior approval from the client from whom the proprietary information was received or in the case of complying with a legal court document.
