I'm logged in and I've run two sets of 200 records of our data successfully. One, I intentionally added some errors to, and it caught them! That's terrific! But, I have a million and a half records to process. I tried uploading the file with all the records, which is 116 MB, and if didn't load after about 45 minutes. I figured it was too large, so I created six files, each having 250,000 records. The are about 20 MB each. But, I can't even get the first on to load. I've been waiting about 30 minutes, and I'm not seeing any progress. I'm not sure what to do about this, but I'll keep trying over the weekend and be in touch on Monday. I did look on your website for any guidelines regarding the size of an input file or the number of records, but I didn't see anything. If I missed that, please let me know.

Answer

We don't enforce any kind of size limit, but often the upload speed of an internet connection is much, much slower than the download speed. For certain, you should compress any large file as a .zip archive before attempting to upload it. Our system will automatically unpack the zipped archive. Try uploading one of the six files with 250,000 records after it's been zipped. Ideally, you should keep the records in a single file so you benefit from the de-duplication process (currently this is a per list calculation).

The soft cap on file size is around 500MB, though I've never actually tested one that large. 335MB was the biggest I tried and it worked fine.
