I'm a little unclear how and when recurring charges will take place. If we subscribe to the 1,000 per month lookups and the inquiries end up exceeding the 1,000 for a particular month, how would we be charged for the extra inquiries? Would we be charged a flat fee per extra inquiry? Or would we be bumped up to the 5,000 lookup level for that month? We’re anticipating 12,000 inquiries per year; however we don’t expect them to be evenly distributed throughout the year and therefore need to find a system that will scale up and down nicely. Any recommendations? |

If you go beyond your LiveAddress API subscription level (monthly or yearly, depending on your subscription) we charge your card for a new block of address queries and renew your subscription starting on that date. We do this so that the service is never down for you. For example, let's suppose that on December 1st you set up a monthly subscription for 50,000 queries. Normally, your subscription would auto-renew after December 31. But, because your website is so wildly popular for holiday sales, you use all 50,000 queries by December 10th, well before the subscription renewal date. What we do is automatically renew your subscription at the same level. This new subscription is valid for one month from the new date. At any time during your current subscription, you can upgrade or downgrade the next subscription in your plan by logging into your account page and updating your subscription information. The changes will not take effect until the current billing cycle ends or the API Queries already purchased are depleted. |
